Description:
GoblinX is a Live-CD that is based on the excellent Slackware distribution. It is directed towards those users who appreciate quality applications and a workspace that is both practical and beautiful. GoblinX contains some of the most often used and praised applications for Linux. click on the ~Applications~ button to see which ones. A Live-CD is a completely operational Linux system contained on one CD-ROM and it runs from any CD-ROM drive, without requering the installation on your hard drive.

About International Boot Support:

GoblinX has support for FIVE different languages such as french, portuguese, spanish, deutsche and english. If you want to start using english just press "enter", or type go.de for deutsche, go.es for spanish, go.br for portuguese and go.fr for french.

A Modular System:

GoblinX employs a modular system that allows YOU to add extra software applications to the liveCD while using it or by building the ISO file. These Modules can be created by the user with the tools included. There are official Modules available, and YOU can create your own modules.

Requirements:
GoblinX requires some minimal hardware to run property. It depends what do you wish to use GoblinX for. More detailed description follows:

Media:
Either IDE connected CD-ROM (to boot from the CD) or USB FlashDisk (to boot from the mass storage device).

BIOS:
Either non-emulation booting enabled (to boot from the CD) or USB FlashDrive booting enabled.

Memory:
30 MB to boot GoblinX. 64 MB to run X with XFCE or WindowMaker. 128 MB to run X with KDE.

Processor:
I486 or better, Pentium or AMD are both OK.

Peripheral devices:
Some keyboard and PS/2 or USB connected mouse for X.

Hardisk:
No harddisk is required.

Video Card:
Some games needs a video card with 3D acceleration.
